How do I activate "My Expert GPT" after installation?
Click the puzzle icon in the top right corner of your browser, find "My Expert GPT" in the list of extensions, and click its pin icon.

How do I create a ChatGPT account?

What is the purpose of expert roles in "My Expert GPT"?
Expert roles are custom personas you can create and modify to enhance your interactions with ChatGPT. The expert roles give the AI a specific context or expertise tailored to your needs.
Can I modify and create new expert roles?
Yes, you can modify existing expert roles and create new ones according to your needs.
How do I manage expert roles in "My Expert GPT"?
Manage expert roles in your preferred text editor, and copy & paste them into the "My Expert GPT" extension as needed. The extension is not intended to be used as an editor.
How do I insert expert roles into chat.openai.com?
After selecting an expert role in the extension, click the green Insert button, click on the ChatGPT text box and press Enter or click the send icon on the right in the ChatGPT interface.
I deleted roles by mistake. How do I restore them?
If you deleted the built-in roles, reinstall the extension to restore them. Warning: Reinstalling the extension makes the browser delete all your roles. If you deleted your custom roles, restore them from your files.
Why does the popup window close suddenly?
The extension window closes as soon as you move away from the page. The extension’s page is only active when requested and goes away as soon as you focus on other pages.
Why are there duplicate roles when I change an Expert Name?
This occurs to avoid clashes with any existing role. After saving the new Expert Name, delete the old expert role if it's no longer needed.
What should I do if my expert roles are not found?
Use a reliable data storage for all your roles, and copy & paste the roles into the extension when needed. The synchronised storage provided by the browser is not always reliable.
Can I use the "My Expert GPT" extension on websites other than chat.openai.com?
No, the extension is limited to work on chat.openai.com only.
What should I do if my ChatGPT session crashes?
Reload the page or your browser, as the crash is not caused by the extension. ChatGPT may occasionally stop responding due to issues with OpenAI services.
Can the "My Expert GPT" extension stop working at any time?
Yes, since the extension depends on the ChatGPT interface, OpenAI may change the interface without warning, causing the extension to stop working. We do our best to respond promptly and restore any impacted functionality ASAP.
How does "My Expert GPT" ensure data privacy?
No data is collected or transmitted outside your browser environment. The extension does not access your browser settings, ChatGPT data, account information, or interactions with any other services in your browser.
Will the extension ever access my telemetry, interaction, or debugging data?
At this stage, the extension does not access any such data. However, we may need to start collecting anonymous interaction data in the future, if the application's complexity requires more usage information about the extension. This would be done to improve the product while still respecting your privacy.
Are the virtual experts for real?
The experts provided by My Expert GPT are as real as a virtual map. It will show you how to get there, but not take you there. They will occasionally give you the wrong answers.
How can I remove the “My Expert GPT” extension?
Remove the extension from your browser to delete it and all the data.
